We understand it can be a bewildering and overwhelming experience, which is why we’re here to offer you a warm welcome into our extended family during your time of need.
Established in 2002, Allcock Family Funeral Services has the experience and expertise to meticulously manage every aspect of organising a funeral.
To help plan a suitable funeral service, we’ll make time to sit down with you to discuss your preferences for the ceremony. Transparency is at the heart of what we do so you can feel confident that we’ll help you understand the options that are open to you, as well as the costs.
A time to come together
Our belief is that the memorial arrangements should, wherever possible, be both tailored to suit the character of the deceased as well as the individual needs of their family.
In recent times, many funeral directors have moved towards promoting low-budget funeral packages. These alternatives range from basic direct cremations where there is no service or attendance at all, to reduced cost early morning cremations with a restricted attendance but still no service.
Sharing and remembering
To be able to gather together with family and friends, to be there with your loved one all the way along their final journey, and to say a final goodbye at the crematorium or the cemetery offers a closure that can often be missed with the direct cremation options.
Although we are able to accommodate any alternative request, we do not actively promote these options because we feel it is important for friends and family to be able to say a final goodbye.

Memorials
There is a large range of memorials to suit every circumstance, from
the most ornate headstones to a very simple garden memorial. Please
ask us for a brochure and price lists.
Floral tributes
As part of our effort to have every possible service available to you, we can also arrange all the flowers that you require, be they funeral tributes, church pedestals or flowers for the house.
Printing
There are many circumstances when the printing of stationery is
required as part of the funeral arrangements. We offer a wide range of
printing services including orders of service, notification cards,
return thanks cards and prayer cards.
Catering
There are a number of hotels and public houses in convenient
positions close to the local crematoria and cemeteries, which we can
liaise with on your behalf.
We can also arrange outside caterers to provide refreshments for you
either at your own home or your chosen venue. We would discuss your needs to can agree the menu and prices beforehand.
Distance funerals
We have the facilities and the staff to provide a comprehensive service
which enables us to carry out the arrangements in any part of the country.
Through our professional association we can plan the funeral so that there is nothing for the family to worry about. Costs will be kept to a minimum and the funeral will be carried out, as always, with dignity and respect.
Funerals abroad
The above is also true when we are dealing with funerals abroad. We are conversant with the Consulates and required regulations of the different countries and can confidently offer this service, whether the death has occurred in this country (for a funeral abroad) or where death has occurred overseas and return to this country is desired.
Newspaper announcements
This is something we deal with on a daily basis, and we can insert any kind of notice in any newspaper, anywhere in the country. We are more than happy to help you with the wording for an announcement if required.
Chapel Of Rest
Our Chapel is available for you to visit at any time of day or early evening. All we ask is that you make an appointment with us first. Our Chapel creates a calm and peaceful atmosphere where you will be given the opportunity to spend time alone with the deceased.
Silver funeral cars
Our silver limousines and hearses offer an attractive and brighter alternative to the more traditional black funeral cars.
